Fine Dining![]() The Childe Harold, namesake of Byron's epic poem, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage, follows the ideals of fine food preparation everywhere: whether sophisticated entrees or simply prepared sandwiches, when the chef begins with very fresh ingredients of the best quality and cooks each dish individually to the customer's order, fine meals are the result. This principle is the cornerstone of The Childe Harold's preparation. We are proud to offer our customers a selection of fine foods ranging from the hamburger to the Veal Oscar. Our customers may order any of our savory selections with confidence in it's freshness and our assurance that each dish is prepared with special attention using the very minimum of advance preparation. For relaxed dining, our Upstairs Dining Room offers the utmost in comfort. Designed by Luther Burbank McKeen in 1966, the room is an expression of the man's unfailing taste for elegance. Later, a performance stage was created and The Childe Harold became a stepping stone to national fame for performers such as Emmy Lou Harris, Bruce Springsteen and Bonnie Raitt. Now the Upstairs Dining Room has been returned to it's original use. Diners are invited to "come as you are" and enjoy the very best in food and drink. Downstairs, our popular barroom, The Pilgrimage, is The Childe Harold's more spirited half; the same good food at a bar setting. Don't forget our happy hour in The Pilgrimage from 3 p.m.'til 7 p.m. In the warmer seasons our patio is also open daily for your dining pleasure.
